Keeping it Traditional

The five almonds traditionally given represent health, wealth, happiness, good luck and fertility.

Consider using white almonds for weddings, silver or gold dipped almonds for a wedding anniversary, pink or blue for baby arrivals baptisms etc.

The same can be said for tulle. Consider using the gold or silver satin edged tulle circles for wedding anniversaries.

Embellish, Embellish, Embellish! The addition of a small decorative flower bud, for instance, can add an extra dimension to your gift.

Turn a simple white bomboniere box into a work of art with the use of a gold embossed sticker or seal.

Use a beautiful gold/silver embossed sticker to seal your bomboniere box. This not only looks great but can help keep your ribbon in place.

Customise each gift with a simple thank you note or tag displaying your names and the date of your occasion.

Table Decorations

Scatter chocolate hearts for a splash of colour on tables. Small silver or gold dipped hearts can also be scattered.

The flicker of romantic candle light complements any theme or setting. The placement of a simple votive or tea light candle and holder at each alternate place can and to the ambience of your event.

If candles are used as a bomboniere gift and table decoration then it is best to add a thank you tag to make sure your guests don't leave their candle behind.

It is not advisable to burn scented candles in large quantities as the combined scent becomes overpowering.

Other Good Ideas

For delicate and odd shaped items you could use a clear display box to help show off your gift. Wrap a ribbon around it for a perfect finish (not forgetting of course, to attach your thank you tag).

Consider the overall theme and colours at your wedding and choose a bomboniere gift and accessories that complement each other.

If using traditional tulle circles, try combining two (or more) tulle circles for a more dramatic, fuller effect.

To be creative, your bomboniere tag could include a love poem or other words of significance - for example an extract of your wedding vows.
